Gaskets and glands
- Exact OEM match
- Reliable sealing even on poor quality surfaces
- High resource
3D modeling and FEM (finite element method) are used during the designing and calculating of each type of LYNXauto glands. At the development stage, multi-stage testing is carried out to determine the static and dynamic tightness, at various temperatures and pressures.
Cylinder head gaskets - must simultaneously provide tightness and chemical resistance in three areas: gasses generated during the combustion of fuel, oils and coolants. To fulfill all these requirements, LYNXauto cylinder head gaskets are made using multi-layer (2 to 5 layers) plate technology from high quality spring steel. For guaranteed tightness, a full or partial coating of the gasket with a special heat-resistant elastomer is used at the interfaces with the cylinders and cooling channels.
LYNXauto oil glands and valve stem glands provide absolute tightness of moving joints due to the use of modern high-tech rubbers (nitrile butadiene, acrylate, fluorine, etc.), which are chemically resistant to oils, fuels, water and hydraulic fluids. Operating temperature range from -45°С to +205°С. LYNXauto dynamic glands use PTFE, which has the unique property of recovering its original shape when heated, which eliminates preload springs, thereby reducing friction and wear at the glands.
The exhaust manifold glands are made of corrugated laminated steel to ensure tightness at high temperature loading (over +1000°C). Less loaded intake manifold gaskets are made of polymer fiber materials.
The range of LYNXauto gaskets and glands includes more than 1800 items.
