The electrodes are made of platinum and iridium alloys, providing reliable sparking at ignition voltages up to 50,000 V, and also have high resistance to electrical erosion and thermal destruction. Reliable tightness is ensured by a high-quality internal seal and can withstand pressure peaks in the combustion chamber up to 100 bar.
